Athletics App Privacy Policy

The following describes the privacy policies of the Marianapolis Athletics mobile apps and website.

Information Collection

The Athletics app does record basic analytics metrics such as how often the app is open and how long it is used. All of this data is collected anonymously. The app will also collect activity information (e.g. sport, season) entered by the user. This information is stored locally on the device but may also be used to register users for team-specific updates. Marianapolis Tech Innovations also keeps a record of all credentials authenticating users on our backend and may collect device tokens for the purpose of offering direct tech support.

When signing in using Google, authentication is handled completely by Google. Please see Google policies for their policies regarding this process.

Information Use

The Athletics app uses the data it collects for the sole purpose of personalizing the user experience. Some of this data may be shared with third-parties in order to provide functionality.

Analytics data is only used to improve our products and is never shared with any third-parties.

Information Sharing

The data captured within the Athletics app is primarily intended for use within the app itself, and is never shared with third-party services. The Marianapolis Tech Innovations Team reserves the right to view all data captured within the Athletics app in order to adequately maintain the application. Please see Google policies for their policies regarding sharing.

Other Parties

Google

Marianapolis Tech Innovations uses Google Firebase™ to host the app's website and database and requires either a Google identity (e.g. Marianapolis email account), or admin credentials, for authenticating the user with the backend system (e.g. Control Console). For the end user, authentication to backend systems is done automatically and anonymously in the background. Please see the Google privacy policy for more information.

Finalsite

A substantial amount of the information available in our app is obtained from our main website (www.marianapolis.org). In some situations, you may be subject to the website's own Privacy Policy.

Twitter

In some cases the app will access public Twitter data and you may be subject to Twitter's Privacy Policy when using these features.
